Scout Troop 169 is a boy-led, high-adventure program based in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. We’ve been developing young leaders through outdoor expeditions, community service, and character building since 2000.
What scouts do
The Scouts BSA program is built on four pillars: personal growth, confidence, leadership, and service. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
Outdoor adventures
Monthly outings and campouts, summer camp, and high adventure expeditions.
Merit badges
135+ topics, expert counselors, covering both essential life skills and options for scouts to explore individual interests.
Leadership
Scout-led means scouts plan the program and are each responsible for various duties to support our activities.
Service
Scouts give back to the community through individual and large-scale service projects.
XX Eagle Scouts and counting since 2000.
Fewer than 4% of all scouts earn Scouting’s highest rank. Troop 169 scouts do the work.

Meetings are held Sundays at 7 p.m., but locations vary based on activities and facility availability. We share space with Our Lady of Peace School and frequently take our meetings outdoors. Check the upcoming events above or our full calendar for location details before heading out.
Troop 169 is open to boys who have completed 5th grade or are at least 11 years old. Prospective scouts and their families are always welcome to visit. We just ask that you reach out first so we can make sure someone is expecting you and ready to show you around.
